Thursday Afternoon Oil Painting Class

Enjoy learning to paint with oils or acrylics. Topics will include value, color theory, composition and mark making. Students will learn how to paint subjects such as landscape, still life, and portraiture in a stimulating environment. Individual instruction is tailored to help students of all levels. Demonstrations and critiques enhance the classroom experience.

I work along with students and show them my paintings to demonstrate concepts. The class takes place in the same studio where I also make my art, so it’s an authentic opportunity to learn. Students also learn from each other as they work in an historic studio with high ceilings, lots of natural light, visual aids and art reference books.
